Taylor Abbott, Monroe County resident and local Ohio River historian, will present “A River Runs Through It: Early Exploration of the Ohio Valley,” Thursday, March 26th at 1:00pm, at the Monroe County District Library in the Meeting Room. Mr. Abbott’s presentation will focus on the emergence of settlers in the Ohio Valley and numerous conflicts and events that occurred from the late 1600s through the years following the American Revolution. In addition, Mr. Abbott will discuss his new role with the newly formed Ohio River Commission where he serves as CEO.
